2024: A Year of Anomalous Celestial Events

May 26th, 2024 — Space. It is no wonder that the starry skies up above are synonymous with heaven. We are quite literally surrounded by the heavens. Since the dawn of human civilization it ostensibly seems that we have always turned to the celestial bodies up above when attempting the greatest questions in life. When marveling over the heavens, it is hard not to feel so infinitesimal. We feel so microscopic even when the fact remains that we are made up of the stuff of stars on the subatomic level. Still, we look to the stars and ponder great ontological, philosophical, metaphysical, and existential questions. We turn to the thinly veiled starry night, and wonder to ourselves where we come from, if there is a cosmic creator, whether we are alone in the universe, and so many other inquiries. In such vast infinite space, it is a terrifying notion to think that we either alone in the cosmos, or that we are not. Although it seems that the first is all the more frightening if space truly is infinite.

When we look up to the night skies, it almost makes us wonder if all of this life is preordained. If you have ever watch God of Heaven and Earth, then this is certainly the case that seems evident in t he film. Watching the film it is hard not to get the feeling that heavenly father orchestrated a beautiful epic narration in creating the stars. This is conveyed in the way that it…
